Universal Studios for Kutty's birthday

For kutty's birthday, well actually the day after, we went to Universal Studios Singapore. Plus, MIL came for visit, so we couldn't have found a better timing for it rite?
It was a Thursday, so it wasn't so crowded. Reached there about 0930hr, had our breakfast then off we went to queue...
Anya's excited dance..

Met Kung Fu Panda at the entrance.

Mummy and Anya's happy pose
We went straight to the Transformers first. we can see that everybody did the same thing, thank God that the queue has just started so we didnt have to wait too long.
Queue was starting to get longer

Anya and dada

Anya was so excited to go for the ride, but cried when the ride started as she was scared, hehe
Bumble bee

The ride was good, but I had to hug Anya and cover her ears the whole time because she was too scared. Definitely will go for it again but maybe Anya will have to wait outside, hehe.

Next stop, the spinning cup, transformer version. Anya didnt want to go for it so Gamma waited with her at the side
Sweet grandma.
Then, it started to rain heavily, we had to but this poncho so we could walk around keeping ourselves dry...
Cutie pies....

Jurassic Park

Went for the ride despite heavy rain..

weeeeee...

We stop by the food court in dino land to warm up and had our lunch there. the prices was quite reasonable, and the food tasted not so bad too. Hubby got a chicken rice set with some acar, which we found it quite odd, MIL gor a wanton noodle set and for Anya, a kiddy set of chicken nuggets ans potato wedges that comes with a cute lunch box. Drinks included with all the set meal.

sorry, didn't take any pics of the foods.. too hungry at the time ;-p

Next stop, Far Far Away, which was Anya's favorite part of the place.
We went to see the Donkey show which was very entertaining and funny, Anya started dancing as she really enjoyed the show.

We left about 1630hr, all in all, it was a great outing for four of us. really really enjoyed it!

;-)

Feeling bored...

Good morning....
Another gloomy morning today. Just finish the daily routines, preparing breakfast, laundry, cleaning, etc etc.. Its only 10am. What else to do? Besides thinking of what to cook for dinner.. I am bored.
The one thing I can think off right now is to go to the library or window shopping... zzz. What do stay-home do anyway? Let me share with you the pros and cons for my being a stay home mom...

 Pros
  1. I have time to myself ?
  2. I am there to take care of my daughter anytime. (When HFMD attacks... )
  3. I can preapare a nice home-cooked meals for my husband and child every day.
  4. We can travel more as there is only one person in the family who have to arrange for leave..
  5. House becomes a nicer place, food on the table, cleans clothes in the drawer...
  6. Stress free, hence sickness free..
  7. Can do some hobby like cooking and gardening..
Cons
  1. Bored... No specific task to do daily, no goals...
  2. No incomes...
  3. I cant simply buy thing without thinking about the budget.
  4. No saving..
  5. Feels obliged to declare everything I spent on.
  6. Not so happy to see any mess as I'll be the one who had to clean it up later.. That brings us to..
  7. Nagging and nagging which scare away daughter and husband, hehe.
  8. Feels like people less appreciate your opinion.( "you only stay at home, what do you know about outside world?" eee, frustating...
  9. Worry about my market value, whether I'll be able to find a job easily later.
  10. I dont like housework..
  11. Putting on more weight from couch potato-ing..
Things I can consider doing
  1. Get a part-time job, as I still have to take care of home and fetch daughter from school.
  2. Do some charity work
  3. Find a hobby that doesnt require to eat it when you finish.
  4. Excersice
  5. Blogging
Any more suggestion?

It has been awhile,,

Hi again blog, it has been quite long since I updated you.. I am sorry for abandoning you for so long..
I have been a little bit busy and a whole lot of lazy lately ;)
So much to catch up, now where do I start... Well, lets start with what had been going on since the last update. The last blog was about CNY rite, then my MIL and SIL came to visiting for three days. We had a pretty good weekend. They were staying in a hotel near Robertson Quay, named The Gallery Hotel. We spent the first day in Snow City.. Kutty had a blast! Hubby and me just waited outside since we have already been inside..
Getting ready to go in
The other two days we spent most of the time in town since its quite far to travel all the way to town from where we stay. That night, we went to One Fullerton to enjoy the beautiful scenery and had our dinner there at Over Easy..

Waiting for dinner to arrive, while watching funny little things that kutty was doing.

My dinner, yum yum.
The next day, we had our breakfast together in Boomerang, an Aussie bistro just opposite the hotel. Quite a nice selection of breakfast menu. I had a vegetable sandwich with avocado, hubby had a nice big pancake, MIL had a bid bread with double sunny side up, and SIL had a sandwich too. Sorry couldn't remember any of the menu's names.. heheh was too hungry to even take any nice pics of the foods that we had..
kutty with her 'Milocinno"

My daily dose of caffeine.. Cappuccino..my love. With beau latte art.

Kang kung had come and gone, managed to harvest a few times, but everytime have to add into other veg to cook because it was too few! kekeke. But I was happy to eat my own fruit of not so hard labour... ;-p

In memory... I will palnt you again someday...

Thank you for ur beautiful and nutritious leaves kang kung.

I am back....

Just came back after spending a full week of wonderful CNY in Melaka with my family. Nothing too grand, but the fact that we were all there together really makes me all happy and fulfilled inside ;-)
Came back with my parent as usual on Monday, they only spent two days here before going back yesterday :( I love spending time with them, since after what have happened to me two years ago, our love got much much closer that sometime I think I couldn't survive without them. God bless them with health and happiness, may they be around us for a long long time.
Didn't cook much since coming back to Sg, feel like we over stuffed our face silly with all the CNY food, hehehe. Just brought my parents out for brunch in IMM both the days they were here and went out to eat with Hubby after he came back from work.

OK, since there is no cooking entry, let me update you on my gardening. Finally, I harvested my kang kung, yay! But it was too little so I had to top up with store bought ones, hehehe. My father called it miniature kang kung kekeke.

The super harvest, hehehe
Remember I also palnted some bendi? Well, they look stunted :( They look exactly the same like before I went back to Melaka! My father told me that I had put too many plants in the same pot, so I had to remove some weaker ones and left only two...
taken two weeks ago before CNY

Same as the above
After, I added some garlic peel to keep the soil fertile.
We manage to bring back two plants from Melaka, one Thai Basil that I loe, and one Curry leaves plant. Mama transferred them to a bigger pot for me and the look very healthy so far ;) Love you Mama.

Curry Leaves
Have a nice day!!

I

I am back....

phew... back to reality again. After spending whole week of CNY back home, now I am happy happy, wanted more, but life must go on. Kutty back to school again. Tough for Hubby as she cried badly trying her luck not to go to school....
Well, I came back on Monday with my parents as always, they stayed for two days only. Brought the to IMM for brunch and some shopping. Didnt cook much this few days as we kind of over stuffed ourselves over CNY, heheh.
Some update on my gardening project, I harvested my kang kung already! yay! But it was too little to be fried alone so I had buy another two bunch from Giant to top up heheheh.
